Cops think it's Spengler's sister, but no ID yet

(NEWSER– Human remains have been found in the house that William Spengler burned down yesterday, in the ruse he used to fatally lure firefighters to the scene.

Police in the Western New York town of Webster announced the grisly find this afternoon, reports theDemocrat and Chronicleand believe it is the body of Spengler's 67-year-old sister, Cheryl Spengler, who shared the house with him and has been missing since yesterday.

A medical examiner will need to make a positive identification. Police said William Spengler was "equipped to go to war," adds the AP.
