Team Marion rode as part of Pelotonia 2013 on Saturday, August 10th. The team consists of Faculty and staff from The Ohio State University at Marion.
They embarked on a 50 to 100 mile trek across the state to raise money for cancer research as part of this year’s Pelotonia bike tour.
The team has raised a total of $7028 to date and can still accept donations by visiting pelotonia.org and search "Team Marion" to make an online donation.
Pelotonia was founded in Columbus, Ohio in 2008. Its a grassroots bike tour with one goal: end cancer.
Since Pelotonia started it has raised more than forty-two million dollars, with 100% of every dollar raised going directly to cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Comprehensive Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute.
Pelotonia 2013 involves 6,682 riders who have raised a grand total of $10,127,350 for cancer research to date.
