MARION, Ohio -- It's been a rocky decade since Maurice Clarett carried the Buckeyes to a national championship victory. He will be sharing his story in Marion this Father's Day.
The former Ohio State running back will speak at Dayspring Wesleyan Church, Sun. June 16. According to the church's website, Clarett will give a speech titled, "From Championship to Prison to Rebuilding".
Following the Buckeyes' 2002 BCS title win, Clarett was dismissed from OSU following numerous off-the-field incidents. He later arrested in Columbus on weapons charges.
Clarett will speak about his experiences during services at 9:15 A.M. and 10:45 A.M., where he will also sign autographs and take pictures. For more information, call the church at (740) 389-3684.
