The weekend kicked off with two heroin busts for members of Marion law enforcement.
Friday morning April 5, just before noon, officers reportedly searched a vehicle in the are of N. State St. and Hughes St. leading to a pair of arrests.
According to a release, detectives arrested Clifton Ross, 38, of marion and Jasmine Campbell, 23, of Columbus--on charges including aggravated trafficking. This was after police reportedly found 47.4 grams of heroin, 14.7 grams of crack, and over $650 in cash.
Only a few hours later, just before 2:00 P.M. Friday, officers with the Marion County Sheriff's Office arrested a reckless driver who was found to be in possession of heroin, cocaine, and over $2,000 in cash.
Just before 2:00 P.M., deputies reportedly stopped a car near the Village of Kirkpatrick after reports that the driver was all over the roadway. Lucas Shaver, 33, of Marion was arrested for OVI as well as drug possession, and was taken to Multi-County jail.
