The Marion County Sheriff's office has identified the dead body that was found near Southland Parkway early Tuesday morning.

According to police, Charlie Randell, 29, of Marion was found dead in a parking lot in the 1400 block of Southland Pkwy. just outside of Marion city. The discovery was made just after 12:30 A.M. Tuesday.

According to reports, Randell's body was found under a sheet by a person who then contacted the Sheriff's Dept. Police are investigating this death as a criminal incident but they reported no trauma to the body.

His body has been transported to Franklin Co. where an autopsy will be performed.
