The Women's Business Council of Marion is set to hand out its annual Athena Award next month, and have narrowed the field down to seven candidates.

This will mark the 16th year the Athena Award has been given to a Marion woman that demonstrates community service, leadership, and encouragement of growth in the community.

This year's field includes:

Winnie Brewer - Marion City Schools Food Service Director

Phyllis Butterworth - Marion General Hospital Director of Public Relations & Marketing

Angela Carbetta - Marion County Recycling Director

Carrie Hutchman - Executive Director at Primrose of Marion

Jean Obenour - Owner/President of Custom Pro Accounting

Tracey Rector - Director of the Marian Clark Center

Quiana Revere - Owner of Diverse Moves Dance Studio

The award will be presented at a luncheon on Monday, March 11 at 11:00 A.M. in the Harding room at Treca. Reservations are $18 and must be made by Monday, March 4.
