The Marion City Fire Department had to put out a blaze last night that left a home in bad shape before the holidays.

According to officials, the fire was at 235 N. State St. in Marion and according to auditors, the home was left with about $25,000 of damage.

Nobody was home during the fire and it is being ruled accidental, the only injury reported was one fire fighter who ended up with a burn on his wrist.
