Marion Police are searching for an armed man who robbed a local business yesterday.

According to reports, at about 6:42 PM Thursday, officers responded to an armed robbery call at the Family Dollar store at 520 N. Main St. Police say a black male about 5'7'' had entered the store with a handgun and his face covered, he then allegedly held a clerk at gunpoint--forcing them to open the cash register.

After grabbing an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect reportedly ran south east from the store and was not found.
