Whirlpool, the largest employer in Marion County, is adding even more new jobs to the area this month.

The appliance company announced Thursday that they plan on bringing 150 new hires to their dryer manufacturing facility--and they want to finish hiring within two weeks.

The positions will be for full-time assembly of a new dryer line that's scheduled to come out after Thanksgiving.

According to Ron Meade of Opportunity Marion, the jobs will pay $10 per hour and a service bonus is available for employees who log 1,300 hours of employment. Anyone interested in applying needs to visit Opportunity Marion at 622 Leader St. Applicants need to bring proof of high school graduation or GED, a social security card, and a valid photo ID.
