The Palace Cultural Arts Association presents "America’s Sweethearts of Song," the Lennon Sisters on Sunday. You can have your chance to enjoy the sisters perform on stage at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the Marion Palace Theater. The Lennon Sisters first came to prominence as teenagers with their appearance on ABC’s Lawrence Welk Show on Christmas Eve, 1955. Dee Dee and Peggy Lennon have since retired. But Kathy Lennon is gonna be on stage and says she’s excited about performing with her sisters, Janet and Mimi, as they wrap up a tour.
The Lennon Sisters hail from Los Angeles. The Marion show will feature lots of songs, stories and video highlights of their fabulous career. Remaining tickets are on sale, ranging from 22-bucks to 40-dollars. Tickets can be purchased at the Palace box office or by calling 740-383-2101.
