The Downtown Marion Market will be open today for the second straight Friday, running from 4-7 p.m. Downtown Marion manager Karen Herr says that the event will feature anything handmade, homemade or homegrown. That will include various fruits, vegetables, baked goods and crafts. Vendors will be positioned on the sidewalks, starting from the Marion County Courthouse on the corner of Main and Center streets and moving west on Center Street. The idea is to leave plenty of parking spaces on the street for those going to the Downtown Market. The market will assemble every Friday through October 12 except for the week of the Marion Popcorn Festival (closed that Friday, September 7th).
