National Weather Service Confirms EF-1 Tornado Caused Damage In Bucyrus

The National Weather Service has confirmed it was a tornado that caused the damage in Bucyrus on Wednesday afternoon.

Officials with the NWS were in the area on Thursday to assess the damage. The storm damage survey shows it was an EF-1 tornado with wind speeds of 110 miles per hour. The twister was in the area from 4:06 pm - 4:11 pm. The tornado was 100 yards wide and the path was just over 3.4 miles.

Bucyrus Police reported downed trees and power lines, along with other damage.
